It's odd, isn't it? That high school (Sorry, but this is what I intend to talk about) is spilt into so many stereotypes.
The Jocks and Preppies - The majority of high school students. Those annoying, "We're so popular" people that always seem to judge you on what you wear, how you look, and how many people you've laid. Funnily enough, not many people admit to being a Preppie or jock. The stereotype is so horrendous, that many people consider themselves above the need for a stereotype just to get away from it. Typically dim-witted and sporty, these are the people very few people will admit to liking.
The Goths - The people that are generally hated by the community. As far as I know, they're into Black, gore etc. Any further explanation would be welcome.
The Geeks/Nerds - Often used as an insult, Geeks are quick to admit that they are Geeks. They are the people that will run the country, and ultimatly end up firing most Jocks. Although picked on by the majority of the school, they are one of the coolest stereotypes. (In my opinion! ^_^)
The Punks - Generally not that different from Goths. Little is known (by me! ^_^) about them, so a summary would be appreciated.
The Teacher's pets - Those people that suck up so much you're surprised they haven't all turned into vacum cleaners. Generally sitting at the front of the classroom and constantly having thier hand up, whether or not they know the answer. Loved by teachers, hated by the entire student body, including many other teacher's pets.
The Freaks/weirdos - Hated by everybody, really. Not even the teachers like them (Or us, really). We're the people who have that annoying non-conformist streek, who generally don't care for the rest of the student body, and who are ussually forgotten. We include the social outcasts, and are quite proud of it. We're the people that go and freak people out, just for the heck of it. As a rule, nobody else talks to us if they can help it. THE coolest Stereotype.
Yes, I'm aware there are more stereotypes, and, if you'd like, tell me them, and give a short description. Tell me which you are as well. Feel free to add on to my descriptions, as I know a fair few are VERY biased. ^_^

Bully: Some1 that wants to be bigger and more feared then most people. They live to bring horror to geeks and freaks.
Loner: People who, perfer,or just are Alone. They generaly don't like big crouds and prefer being alone or sometimes small groups of indeviduals.
Snobs: People who think thye're the bets or think they're the best thing since slised bread. They allways wear the latest trends and whould do ANYTHING to get a friend in the club, even if it hurts some1 spirituly or physicly.
Class Comedian: Some1 who always has fun, who likes to make jokes. This person has a great sence of humor and makes funny things out of the simplest thing.
Small Croud type: Some1 who likes small crouds and likes hanging out with a handful of friend who understand you. They hate Popular people.
Ok I'm a mix with a goth, a loner, a small croud type and a Class comedian ;D

i think i am considered a geek, since people think i do nothing else but study or work on the computer. i wouldn't say i would be complete loner, but i think me and my group or friends form another stereotype! (*winks* right myrn and and calli?) haha, i think i should call it the 'Crazy-Hairpulling-Otaku-Fangirls" type. haha

Another stereotype that I see a lot of in my school are the hics (since I live in the middle of no where). Their lives seem to consist of little more than hunting and beer. They often say things like, 'The other day I shot my dog 'cause he was too stupid'. They like country music a lot, try to talk like cowboys and even wear cowboy hats to school sometimes. They usually do very poorly in school, and show little signs of intelligence.
There aren't many punks at my school, but from what I've seen on T.V. they are very similar to goths except they're less dark, rebel and get into trouble a lot. They wear clothing that's different than most people meaning the preps, and they often try to rebel against what society wants them to be. Avril Lavigne would be an example of a punk.
As for goths they're usually into darker things and usually wear black clothing. Some of them are into the occult, black magic and such, and for others it's just the look. A lot of people 'the preps & jocks' assume they worship the devil, though very few of them actually do. They are very similar to the punks to the extent that they rebel against society, but they're a bit darker.
As for me, I'd say I'm a strange combination of a geek, a loner, a freak, and a bit of a punk too. I like computers a lot and my marks are a little too high in school, so I'm often considered a geek. Though I have friends, I don't spend that much time with them, and I never really say very much, so I'm considered a loner. I'm a freak because I tend to be a little different from 'normal people' and a bit of a punk because the clothes I wear are sort of punkish as well as the music I listen to, and I tend to rebel against what society and my parents think I should be, though it is usually unintentional.

Silver Wolf-san: *Eye twitches* Arvil Lavagine would be an example of a Punk-POSER. She thinks all the punks worship her, and that she has these punk armies ready to do her bidding. It's really funny, because genuine punks hate her, and several are planning her demise at this very moment. The only people who like her are Punk-Posers and Preppies.
Me? I'm a freak/geek/half-goth/loner. I have a small group of friends, but I don't contribute much, hence the loner. I'm a freak because I tend to go up to strangers and say odd things, and do completely spontanious things at school. I'm gothish occasionally, when life gets too hard, you know? And I'm a geek because I'm on the computer so much, get pretty good marks at school, and know there's more to the internet then MSN and Neopets.
It's good though, because I've found a friend who's also a freak, and she's a lot of fun. It's good, because we can go to the mall and freak people out, without having to worry that the other will think, "Oh god!"

Sorry. I know that was a really bad example. I know that no real punk would like her or her music. Heck, I hate it and her. I guess I've just been kind of tired lately -_-*. I wasn't implying that she was a real punk, I was just implying she was trying to be.

Ahhh. Never say that to one of my friends. She'd have a fit. She HATES Arvil. I hate her as well. Any aussies here? Anyone see her on Rove? God! She said 'like' every second word!
Arvil: That, like, is, like, so, like, unfair!
Silva: *Glares*
Arvil: Like, I think you, like, need a, like, total, like, make-over!
Silva: *Glares harder*
Arvil: Woah! Like, don't have a, like, fit man!
Silva: *Makes Arvil explode*
