to be honest with you, at first I wasn't angry when I saw your posting, but after I read this, I don't know how to react... I have the tendency to be angry to people who thought I am angry I don't know if the author do intended to drawned such bishies, 'coz most of the shounen mangaka are men too, but the trends in Jap is more into Yaoi stuffs, so they end up that way. But I don't think that they meant to be that way. Yaoi in shounen manga is more into fan creation, unlike yaoi that were purely came from manga/anime yaoi. Probably they paired the bishies because of their good looks, but some of them also paired them up in the base of their nature, such as why opposite attracts famous in the yaoi community. I mean, if the anime/manga were filled with bishounen, we can't just paired them ALL together. Hmm, great. 'coz Illumi looks like a girl so we can consider him as a girl... Sorry bout the Kurama one. Nakahara was Youko Kurama's seiyuu while Shuichi Minamino was Ogata, that woman who also the seiyuu of Tsukishiro Yukito. Kurama was her debut at that time... so sorry for that!! I was good in seiyuu stuffs, but never really interested in YYH so I'd do reasearch for it. I'm going to say this only one more time. I'm not angry that time and well.. trying not to be angry now. A debate between yaoi vs non-yaoi fandoms always been dreadful, but I'm not that fanatic to fight you, so I'll stop here. And no, I have no intention to do such thing like what made Yomi/Fibby quarelled, 'coz I don't like to flame people. knowing that it was pointless, criticizing is a more polite word to say. But I just need to write this one. -owari-

to be honest with you, at first I wasn't angry when I saw your postingwell, i saw ' ' so i naturally assumed you were angry. otherwise i don't understand why else you would use it. care to come up with a lame explanation? Yaoi in shounen manga is more into fan creation, unlike yaoi that were purely came from manga/anime yaoi.lets draw another distinction then: how can you say that a person who only likes a certain select pairing - e.g. HisokaxIllumi - but is completely turned off by specifically yaoi manga like gravitation still be considered a yaoi lover? that was your intial gross generalization that i see you furiously back pedalling away from with baseless, bordering on derogatory statements such as: Hmm, great. 'coz Illumi looks like a girl so we can consider him as a girl.... excuse me, but when did you become the god of interpretation? everyone has their own treatment and consideration of a character from anime. A debate between yaoi vs non-yaoi fandoms always been dreadful, but I'm not that fanatic to fight you, so I'll stop here.rubbish! this was never an argument about yaoi vs non-yaoi. you made a gross generalization that anyone who so much as supports one male/male pairing is a yaoi lover...but when you have absolutely nothing to say about the visual aspects of a pairing between a male and a woman-looking man who might as well be a woman...well, that just made you look very silly. now you know never to make accusatory generalizations like that ever again. especially since you have someone like masami saying: i only support one pairing but reject absolutely everything else and do not consider myself to be a yaoi fangirl. we're not even saying that it's HisokaxIllumi is not yaoi - gees, plz, if you ever get into a discussion again, try to READ ppl's posts carefully before you embarrass yourself like that. geesuz what a waste of my time. azzy ps: Probably they paired the bishies because of their good looks, but some of them also paired them up in the base of their nature, such as why opposite attracts famous in the yaoi community. again, another demonstration of your inability to read perhaps? i specifically mentioned this in my prior post and you're repeating it... note to self: futility is born from ignorance, wilful blindness and a general lack of intelligence.

KURAMA looked like a girl??!! OMG.. I'm one of those people that thought that HE is definitely a HE (now I know how sammi feels about Kurapika...). I never heard his Jap seiyuu before, but I read somewhere that it was Nakahara Shigeru, so it's not a woman, 'coz if I'm not mistaken he's Trowa Barton's seiyuu, right?! right?! Kurama? A GIRL?! (yeah, now you know how I feel.... lol) How on earth could people think he's a girl?! His uniform is for guys, his name is a guy's name (Shuichi) and Mr Togashi would've drawn him with smooth body shape and face if he was a girl. God help them........ ><

I'm not exactly caught up on these boards but I support yaoi pairings ^^ Well actually it depends, it depends with pairings no matter what gender. You can't really do something completely random and pull it off unless your super good at writing. Besides, if you don't like it most people do have warnings for that reason, lemon/lime.. not my thing but, a lot of things arn't. I think that if you don't support something you should at least respect other peoples opinions and leave it alone

Yes, I respect other writers out there. I never flame other people's work just coz they're yaoi and stuff Yeah, most of them do have warnings, but some of them - I read till halfway and find that they're yaoi/lemon, etc. X.x I hate it when that happenes.

First of all, the emoticon is trying to punctuate the words I was writing. Everyone had their own way to show a punctuate things up, including in that pose. It tried to punctuate the shounen thing as a boy. Can't blame people for having their own interpretation though, therefore I'm not using any emoticon in this one <g> so there, a lame explanation.
And did I say that if you like one yaoi pairing means that you're a yaoi lover? I only said that means you don't hate them, like some people tend to say, that's all! And 'like' does not mean you have to insanely love them. I didn't make any accusation...!!!
And a relationship between a man and a woman-liking man is acceptable. Just because I didn't support for HisoIllu that means that I hate that kind of pairings, did I say something out of that context for God's sake?
And yes, you did mention about the character compatibility in pairings, but still punctuated in the 'look' aka visual experiences from some people that made them to be a good pairing.
there.

What a preposterous proposition lunatic - Liz was talking about me, and I would like to think I know myself better than a stranger who thinks they know me by my website. I'll say to you now - I like the HisoxIllu pairing - I tolerate yaoi fandom because that's their right but I actually harbour great distaste for it. Oh dear - does that mean I fall outside your gross generalization? Why yes - because it's a mere generalization, there are bound to be a gazillion exceptions. Note to self: try not to assert generalizations as fact. I do it all the time and it makes me look stupid, and consequently, the same for you in this case. Wow...you still don't get Liz's point. She has made a distinction between yaoi pairings based on looks and yaoi pairings based on character compatibility - one which I agree with. Explanations are best done through examples, so hopefully this will finally sink into you: HisokaxIllumi - is a visual couple. Well, actually, it's a bit of a borderline case because not only does Illumi look feminine, his actions and mannerisms are all feminime. People who accept yaoi pairings based on the visual representation do not necessarily like yaoi pairings AND can be repulsed by it, because they don't see it as a male/male pairing, given that one of the characters is so visually female. GonxKillua - is NOT a visual couple - one can hardly mistake them for girls. But there are still a lot of GonxKillua fans who think they're a couple because of their compatible personalities, the light/dark dichotomy etc etc. People who like this couple SEE this as a male/male relationship and thus these people are TRUE yaoi lovers. They will NOT be disturbed or repulsed by yaoi. Whatthe? How have you defined the word 'punctuate'? Because I cannot, for the life of me, work out what you're trying to say in this first paragraph. I'm being denied meaning! and oh - do you know what the general tone and context of "I know x...thank you very much" stands for? It's an injured tone, add a touch of defensiveness, intent to ridicule by proving wrong... and is generally not used graciously or happily. And hey! You've consequently got - Mr Angry Face - in the same sentence! Circumstantial evidence is against you mate - if you could 'punctuate' your words with *cough*...why resort to a smilie that comes nowhere near[/i] your alleged original intent? I'm crossing my fingers - Liz explained twice, and I tried to clarify her concept. Yomi PS - seriously dude, are you using the word 'punctuate' correctly? but still punctuated in the 'look' --> although you interpreted her utterly wrong, why didn't you just use emphasize? For goodness sakes, forego the pretencious use of English and try to communicate!

to lunatic: as for a further demonstration of a misuse of 'higher' English (or what I call - a using of words one doesn't really understand in hopes of making himself sound like someone he's not), check this story out: www.fanfiction.net/read.php?storyid=1059286You get the drift. And...one last thing: punctuate: 1. Insert punctuation marks in. 2. interrupt at intervals ( punctuated his tale with heavy sighs) Hm....so you really did use but still punctuated in the 'look' wrong. Better luck next time (emphasized, concentrated, maintained, stuck to, highlight - why punctuate?!) Yomi
