Dirty lemon? You mean full on graphic sex? Did you get a warning? If not, you should flame them for one. If yes, then you shouldn't have read it if you were uncomfortable with it. I always thought that lemon WAS sex - and no, I haven't seen many sex scenes in which there was a lot of dialogue. ;D LOL - Hunter fiction is still depressingly low on the number of R-rated, lemon fics. The Chinese HisoxIllu fics on the other hand.... ;D Maybe I could translate some and bombard ff.net with them ;D

Well, flame them for a warning next time. Most sites I go to usually indicate that it's a lemon.
I ignore those. I read my first MS fic in Chinese the other day - I didn't realize it until I reached the end (when she died, of course) and then I said: Hang on a minute! She's a bloody MS!
Anyhow, know any sites with Chinese HisoxIllu fics Yumiko?

I started reading from the first pots to the end and found a conclusion that people is actually like yaoi whether she/he admit it or not. Like some people said 'I hate yaoi', but then she/ he said that 'but I can stand with a certain pairing' That means that you didn't really hate them, right?! Of course I'm right... And yes, I agree that some yaoi pic/fic are gross, but that doesn't mean that yaoi was a bad fandom. I am a yaoi fangirl, and I'm not ashame of saying it out loud. Yes, I wrote yaoi fics, so what? I write what I want to write, and believe it or not, people are actually read them. And the amount of flames are still lesser than the good reviews. I don't like the idea of Gon and Killua together because I considered them as brothers, not because they are underage, so basically if I don't consider them as brothers, maybe I'd like the boys. And no, together doesn't mean that there had to be sex on the screen or something like that. Don't be too shallow. Yaoi is not always about sex. And as weird as it might sound. I don't like Hisoka paired with Illumi. Maybe there's tendency between them, but I just don't like the idea. No thanks. About Slam Dunk fandom though, I'm a SenRu fan, heh... yeah... I like the idea of the two aces together. They are both handsome, wonderful, genius, and they got opposite attracts. I say they are qualified. About YYH yaoi, though.. Even I have to say that Kurama and Hiei are okay, but I prefer Kurama and Botan (Okay, so sue me, people...). And Kuwabara is not so bad. He's a real gentleman indeed, I like him better than Hiei. Maybe that was the reason why some people din't like Leorio though, because he's the alter ego (sorta) of Kuwabara. But we have to see people from other aspects too instead of their looks. I apologize if I hurt some people with this, I didn't mean too. This is a forum and we have to speak our mind for the sake of anime/manga. I'm glad too that not too many yaoi fan in this forum 'coz I know how gross it is in the yaoi forum ;D it's glad to know that some people could still think straight like you guys *hugs* And oh, I'm still a yaoi fangirl.

Nya~ ^^; I'm one of the people who said "I hate yaoi" but it's true. I do hate it. I support one pairing, but I look at one of the guys as a girl.... It's HisoIllu (HxH) so no doubt I'm seeing Illu as a girl.... LOL

But that woin't be fair, if you kep on considering that Illumi is a girl when you know that he is a HE. So there will be yaoi. And you still say that you hate it.
Ne, sammi-chan, if I consider Kurapika is a girl, can I paired him with Leorio now? ;D (the truth is I thought Kurapika is a girl at firts, honest!!)

lunatic, you're seriously mistaken dude. consider the trend in the androgynous design of males - the 'bishounen' (learned that term yesterday!). a person new to or unfamiliar with anime could recognize a lot of these boys as girls - such as kurama from yyh. even the voice actors for these 'male' characters are women half the time. that just says a lot about the mindset of the authors who created them. they're actively trying to turn a man either into a gay man, or just a man with overly womanish traits but just not a woman. from the visual perspective, characters like illumi and kurama look a LOT like women, hence the visualization of them with another man (a physically looking male) naturally stirs up ideas. if you can say 'they look good together'/'they are photogenic together' to any yaoi coupling, it's probably what the drawer originally had in mind.
so the fact that people only like one or two couples and feel repulsed by the rest of yaoi fandom does not mean they like yaoi - they like the visual representation.

*waves a flag with "hardcore yaoi" written on it in sparkly gay letters* i love yaoi, i just cant write it. i think i had to turn to yaoi cos i HATE all of the girls in gundam wing, which is more or less the only thing i read. i just think that sex should only be used as appropraite, unless it is a blatantly 18 fic, where the whole point is the description of the sex scenes. some can be done quite well, while others just lack the experience and skill to write it in any toher way than crude.

*cough* I know exactly what they mean with bishounen, thank you very much... you could still see the 'shounen' word to know that they were actually boys and NOT girls. I'm just saying, if people know in the end that the one that they thought as a girl is actually a boy, could they still have the same perspective as before? You judge it by yourself... KURAMA looked like a girl??!! OMG.. I'm one of those people that thought that HE is definitely a HE (now I know how sammi feels about Kurapika...). I never heard his Jap seiyuu before, but I read somewhere that it was Nakahara Shigeru, so it's not a woman, 'coz if I'm not mistaken he's Trowa Barton's seiyuu, right?! right?! Kurama like a girl... Oh God...

seriously lunatic, i don't know why you're getting angry here. if you can't hack the debate, say so before we end up with another yomi/fibber disaster.
*cough* I know exactly what they mean with bishounen, thank you very much... you could still see the 'shounen' word to know that they were actually boys and NOT girls.
my point was that people could easily mistake such pretty males as female. that is probably what the author/drawer intended. realistically, men do NOT look like women, therefore the intentions behind creating a 'male' with womanish traits and personality and features were that the audience should treat the 'man' as a woman...yet he merely carries the title of 'man' - yes, the intention and objective is highly artificial. perhaps having female fighters in a boy's comic is a taboo hence the 'bishounen' came along as a poor substitute. who knows - fact is, a bishounen is visually a girl and all i've heard from select male/male pairing fans (such as masami and my friend yomi) are how 'cute' a couple look together. their selection of coupling is based entirely on the visual experience. as to framing couples based on character compatibility, i see that as the domain of the tru yaoi fan. that's just my distinction and i believe i have reasonably explained it.
I'm just saying, if people know in the end that the one that they thought as a girl is actually a boy, could they still have the same perspective as before? You judge it by yourself..
yup. they could. yomi told me that she thought in all seriousness that illumi was a woman when she first saw him, and that impression has been stuck with her since. oh, that's right, illumi's voice actor is also a woman, his movements are femininely graceful and his chioce of colour (pink, maroon) is questionable.
I never heard his Jap seiyuu before, but I read somewhere that it was Nakahara Shigeru,
please do your research - everyone knows that kurama's japanese voice actor is a woman by the name of Ogata Megumi. Nakahara is kurama in his demon form and lets be honest, he doesn't come out that often. but we're not here to discuss the fact that you didn't see kurama as a girl. that was merely an example which obviously doesn't apply to your particular situation.
it seems like you have only glanced through my post, so blinded were you by your anger. go back and read it carefully again. we're talking about different things here and i do not wish to entertain a futile debate.
