First off, this game looks GREAT!! It looks incredibly fun and... it breaks FF tradition into tiny, bits! First, an all main female cast!! Secondly, we have a SEQUEL. To a Final Fantasy game!!! AND, a major transformation in the entire theme. No more saving the world from destruction!! Well, not yet anyway.
Who here has played it?

I haven't played it, but I've heard of it. I have to admit....it does look cool. But I'm a major romance person myself and I want to know what the hell happens with T+Y! I know there's a scene with them in it, but I can't remember if they said it was a dream or not.

Yeah...I haven't seen Paine or Rikku's outfits, but I saw Yuna's. I like the design she has in the middle of her chest. It shows devotion ^_^.

I know, usually no double posting, but c'mon, my last post was MONTHS ago!!
Well, I beat both of FFX and FFX-2. I cried in a lot of places, but that could just be because I'm a bit of a sucker when it comes to falling in love with the characters.
Both games will take over your soul. There were days when I played 10 hours straight... ten hours...

FFX wasn't bad, but I'm not much liking FFX-2... so damn cheesy haha. Yuna is like 180 degree personality change, and Rikku is even more hyper and strange that usual. It just doesn't feel like a solid outing for me; I prefer my RPG's with more powerful storylines... Suikoden II or FF7 for example =D

I beat it too. I personally loved it, but FFX is still my favorite. I have to admit that I use guide books *ducks tomatos* but I like them so NAH ! Anyways...the final boss was so easy for me. I hate how they put so much emphasis on them, but when it comes down to it they aren't very hard. Of course, that's my opinion. Did you click 'X' while Yuna was in the Glen after the fight? Talk to the Fayth? Ohhh...the movie after the credits (if you did) was sooooooooo cute! ^^ I love it...I just had to buy it in my New Game Plus.

WTF? Oh... SHIT!! No, I don't think so.
And how the hell is the plot CHEESY? It's not cheesy, it's so fantastically out there!! And Yuna did not do a personality change, she's always been overly serious, straightforward and strong willed!!
Yeah, ok, so I'm a little defensive of the game. I still stand by what I say, I just think that Yuna changed to become more like who she wanted to be.

She didn't seem to have *any* of who she is "now" (FFX2) in her during FFX though, that's the thing. Lotsa characters say Yuna led a sheltered life and such, but she seemed pretty content, and not too held down by her situation and circumstances.
There's no real seriousness to the plot, either. Its just three girls going around doing "missions" and having fun. I don't see any real story behind it.

The plot is that there are people in the world (kind of) that want to use an extremely powerful machina that has a mind of its own to destroy Spira because of something that happened a long time ago. The side missions are just for fun, yeah, but all games have a couple. Most of them, though, actually get you toward reaching the goal (i.e. defeating the evil boss dude and saving Spira from annihilation (did I spell that right?)).
Besides, Yuna is a lot like her character from FFX. She is still confident, helpful, a doormat, willing to do whatever it takes, and she gets in to WAY too much trouble for her own good. Besides, it has been 2 years. If you knew me 2 years ago and the me now you'd notice pretty big differences in my attitude.

Yawn >.< Square can do better.
That's because the whole game is sidequests and mini adventures O.O
I still dont' see how her choice of appearence can go from one to another... Regardless of time, most people have a general idea of what they feel comfortable in and what they don't; IMO Yuna's personality swap was too drastic for the character they made her to be in FFX. I know people change, but they're still themselves. Yuna sort have lost that sense of being "Yuna" to me.
FFX-2 was made for Final Fantasy fanboys and girls, as well as teens looking for "hot n3kkid girlz!11". Have you gotten to the massage mini-game with Leblanc? Wtf was that? More of a softcore porn than an RPG >.> Even character designs... doesn't anyone else notice Rikku has her thong sticking way outta her minimini shorts? I can appreciate a little bit of "action", so to speak, once in a while. But what they've done isn't Final Fantasy. Its a mockery >.<

Okay. I have to say that you do make a good point. The massage thing freaked me out. But that doesn't mean that the main plot wasn't fun. It was really easy, yeah, but still entertaining. Besides, if they hadn't made FFX-2 then we would never see what really happened to Tidus and Yuna. I admit that they could have done better, but it also might be because Final Fantasy has never had a sequel to one of its games. They had to work off of FFX and its always harder because you have to change so many things yet still keep it the same.
And I, personally, like the outfits. Not the fact that they're all skimpy, but I like the designs. They are creative and I get a lot of ideas for drawings from them.

I agree about the costume designs. I absolutely love how original they are.
And the massage thing did scare me, but to be honest, it didn't surprise me much. First off, the game sports the most upfront, reserved, and strong-willed characters I have ever seen in a video game in short shorts. For another, Rikku, Ms. Teen-Genki-Supreme, is in an outfit that is, to be frank, completely skank. Sexual implications in the form of a massage is a tad expected on those grounds.
